All notebook computers are covered under warranty for a period of 1 year from the date of original purchase. The following is covered: display, keyboard, motherboard, memory, and storage drive.
You may purchase extended warranty (parts and labor), depot service, for 1 to 2 years on top of the original 1 year warranty. The first year will be covered by us (RJTECH). The extended 1 to 2 years will be covered by our service partner, New Leaf Service Contracts, Inc. Please read their terms and conditions and what they cover here.
To file a warranty claim while on your extended warranty, you will be asked to fill out their form here.
Merchandise purchased for the purpose of resale is not covered under this warranty, nor is this warranty transferable.
During the stated warranty period, we will repair, free of charge, any defects in material or workmanship which occur during normal use. Repair parts and replacement products shall be furnished at our discretion on an exchange basis and shell be either new or reconditioned. All replaced parts and products shall become our property.
Under the standard 1 year warranty, coverage will not apply to defects or damage resulting from:
- improper packing during return shipment to us,
- disasters, such as floods, fires, winds, earthquakes, or lightning,
- failure to provide a proper installation environment,
- peripherals or unauthorized attachments,
- service by an unauthorized service center,
- any other type of abuse, modification (including hardware and BIOS mods), misuse, or neglect,
- any type of physical damage (including broken/cracked LCD/shell/case, burns, liquid damage).
Dead Pixel Warranty
A dead pixel refers a pixel that no longer functions properly and stays lit bright (bright dead pixel) or stays dark (dark dead pixel). Regardless of the type of dead pixel, RJTECH allows up to 5 dead pixels before your system qualifies for return merchandise authorization (RMA).
Any physical damage, including scratches to the display, will void the warranty.
No Dead Pixel Insurance
The No Dead Pixel Insurance option guarantees that there will be no dead pixels on shipment. You may purchase coverage for either up to 30 days or 90 days.
Continental USA only: If one or more dead pixels appear during the coverage period, you must contact customer service within the coverage period with the following information: customer name, order number, and photo or video proof of the affected pixels. An RMA number will be issued, and we will replace the display free of charge.
Dead-on-Arrival (DOA) Policy
If the system is defective during the first 15 days after your purchase (starting from the invoice date), we will issues a call tag to pick up the system at no additional cost. A repaired or replaced system will be sent back to the customer after receipt of the DOA unit. After 15 days, the system is instead subject to the standard 1 year warranty.
Refund Policy
Within 15 days after the invoice date, the buyer may request a refund of the purchase, if and only if the returning unit arrives at RJTECH within the 15 days. The buyer is subject to a 15% restocking fee charge, even if it is DOA. After 15 days, the purchase can no longer be refunded. Shipping fees are not refundable.
If you require a warranty service, please fill out an RMA request form (preferred) or call our Technical Support line at (909) 396-9140. When calling, please have the following information available: customer name, order number, and description of the problem.
If factory service is required, a technical support representative will issue the buyer an RMA number. This number should be clearly marked on the outside of the shipment. The buyer is responsible for returning the product, properly packaged in its original container or equivalent, to the service center. Any postage, insurance, or shipping costs incurred in presenting or sending the product for service is the sole responsibility of the buyer.
